Meeting Aim
The aim of this conference is to examine the role of palaeogeography in Earth System Science, especially how tectonics and palaeogeography influence palaeoclimate and palaeocean dynamics. We intend to bring together scientists from Academia and Industry whose research is either directed to generating palaeogeographies, or for whom palaeogeographies are a critical boundary condition. This will include, but is not limited to, experts in climate and ocean modelling, biogeography, tectonics, landscape ecology, GIS, frontier exploration, and palaeogeography. We are especially interested in researchers investigating how changing geography influences palaeoclimatology and palaeoceanography.

This is the second of two related meetings
This is the second of two SEPM/GSL research conferences dealing with the issues associated with modelling in exploration; the first conference is titled "The Application of Earth System Modelling to Exploration" and is scheduled for July 11-13, 2006.
